Do not be fooled if told no permits are required!
When shopping around you’ll notice a lot of places will tell you no permits are required for Vanderburgh County or Warrick County. You will want to contact your Area Planning Commission and Building Commission of your county to learn about the required permits. If a permit is not pulled you could be required to tear the barn down by the city/county. Some homes are not even allowed to have barns due to their location or square footage of their lot. We’ve been doing this for 30 years, we know all about permits and codes!
When helping our customers we have come across many who were not allowed to have barns in their yard due to city/county codes. It is not about the bottom dollar, it is about serving the customer and having the customer’s best interest in mind. We do not want our customers to be out thousands of dollars being forced to tear down or move a barn because codes and ordinances were not followed.
